  1. Norton’s Country Corner Bar is celebrating Hump Day on Wednesday with a heart-pumping night of Karaoke starting at 8pm. If that’s not enough, you can also expect $2 Pints and $3 special “liquid courage” shots to help everyone believe they can sing. After three shots of whiskey, I’m a great singer…just ask me.

  2. On Thursday, the Queen Creek Library is inviting us to come and learn the myths many people have come to believe…about Arizona’s history, the Sonoran desert, and the critters that live there. One time, I saw a talking gecko in the desert, just like the one on TV…He told me that I should go to this event on Thursday, and set them straight.

  3. Head over to TC’s Pub & Grill on Friday night and party with the local rock band, 3 Phase. 3 Phase is a three-piece classic hard rock cover band from Mesa, Arizona. The show starts at 8pm.

  4. Join The Collingsworth Family this Saturday at the Combs Performing Arts Center in San Tan Valley. Excitement, spiritual anointing, family-emphasis, and musical excellence are what you can expect to find when you step across the threshold of the auditorium. If you can’t make the 2 o’clock show, no worries, you can catch them again at 6pm.

  5. Laura Joy will be at the Queen Creek Olive Mill this Saturday evening starting at 6 o’clock. Laura Joy is a singer-songwriter that has been known to quell dark, angry bars full of ornery old Irishmen. Laura’s percussive finger picking and buoyant voice have graced audiences from as far as the Sun Belt to the streets of Manhattan.

  6. Journey back to the 1930s and ’40s to the days of swing bands and supper clubs this Saturday at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center. With a live swing band and the harmonies of the Swingtime Quartet, this show features great hits like “Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree,” “I’ll Be Seeing You,” “In The Mood,” “Tuxedo Junction,” and “Route 66”. So if memory serves…we’ve got the Jitterbug, the Lindy Hop, the Boogie Woogie, and the Collegiate Shag style swing, just to name a few. I totally googled that.

  7. San Tan Flat is throwing a party this Sunday night with the Josh Roy Band. Josh Roy is an American country music artist, singer-songwriter from Arizona. Some have said that his vocals sound like a mix between Tracy Byrd and Luke Bryan. Sign me up!

And that’s a wrap! Thanks for listening to 7 Things To Do in Queen Creek, Arizona This Week, a World Of Arizona Podcast series. See you next week, and remember, more information on all these events can be found at worldofarizona.com. Bye.
