  1. Get your laugh on this Friday and Saturday at Comerica Theater in Phoenix with Joe Rogan live on stage. A standup comedian for more than 20 years, Joe Rogan sells out theaters internationally with his inquisitive and intense comedic style. Oh yeah, he’s also the host of the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. Maybe you’ve heard of it?

  2. The Mesa Arts Center is getting us in the holiday spirit this Thursday through Saturday with Millennial® Choirs & Orchestras proudly presenting…Mele Kalikimaka: A Worldwide Celebration of Christmas. This soul-inspiring concert will feature a stunning musical force of hundreds of musicians, including the remarkable Youth Choirs, the elegant Grand Chorus, and the superb Symphony Orchestra. Inspiring indeed.

  3. “Keep the change ya filthy animal.” What do you get when you combine arguably one of the most iconic, mischievous 9-year-old boy with the greatest living composer? A truly unique holiday, musical, cinematic and gut bustlingly funny experience, that’s what. Have you guessed it? This Friday through Sunday, The Phoenix Symphony and Phoenix Symphony Chorus will be performing John Williams’ delightful score to the heartwarming holiday blockbuster Home Alone.

  4. Is there a better way to experience the magic of the holiday season than with The Nutcracker? No, I didn’t think so. I’m referring to the ballet scored by the incredible Tchaikovsky of course. Ballet Etudes and the Chandler Center for the Arts invites you to experience the glory of this classic tale live with performances Friday through Sunday. Bring the whole family to feast your eyes and ears on colorful costumes and imaginative dance and music.

  5. It’s finally here! The Tempe Festival of the Arts, that is. Three days, Friday to Sunday, over 375 artist booths lining Mill Ave with photography, wood art, ceramics, wearable art, jewelry, live music, henna artists, face painters, musicians, magicians, caricature artists, professional chalk muralists, beer, wine, festival food…I think you get the “picture”. HA! ‘Cause picture is art.

  6. The holidays are here…sugar plums, candy canes, The Grinch AND tumbleweeds? (record scratch) That’s right, join the City of Chandler this Saturday for their Annual Tumbleweed Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights in downtown Chandler. You heard me right, the clever City of Chandler creates a giant tree made out of hundreds of tumbleweeds and illuminates it with thousands of twinkling lights. Fun for kids of all ages will be had with musical performances AND an appearance by the big white-bearded elf himself.

  7. Finishing up our week at San Tan Village in Gilbert, the whole family is invited to partake in the 9th Annual Holiday Balloon Glow 2019. The event features over 70 vendors and food trucks, kids bounce zone, live entertainment, Mr. & Mrs. Claus and let’s not forget about the beautiful glowing hot air balloons that will light up the night.

And that’s a wrap! Thanks for listening to 7 Things To Do This Week, a World Of Arizona Podcast series. See you next week, and remember, more information on all these events can be found at worldofarizona.com. Bye-bye.
