Arizona 'Thanksgiving Grandma' teams up with Airbnb to welcome strangers to her home for holiday dinner

An Arizona grandmother who went viral for accidentally inviting a stranger to her family’s Thanksgiving dinner is opening up her home to some more guests this year. The so-called “Thanksgiving Grandma” was looking for two guests to eat an early holiday dinner with her and her new friend back on Nov. 20 at her home in Prescott Valley.

It has also been reported that Netflix partnered with them to bring their story to the big screen.

Thanksgiving in Arizona

Amber: So, it’s Thanksgiving, a time for thanks and giving and eating ridiculous amounts of food. Is there anything special you want to share with us this year, Cooper?

Cooper: Yup. Smokey Bourbon Sweet Potatoes w/golden maple BBQ drizzle.

Cooper: I’m thankful for the beauty of nature, the warmth of the sun, the sound of laughter, and the taste of good food.

Amber: I am thankful for that recipe you just shared. I’m also thankful for the great state 48. And food. Thank you, that is all for now.

Where In The WOA?

We’re calling this new segment “Where In The WOA”. This is how it works. We’ll give you a small portion of a picture, give you a hint, and then offer a prize to the first person to tell us where the photo is in the World of Arizona.

Something worth noting: all the photos can be found in a gallery at worldofarizona.com. The fractional photo will be posted on our Instagram account once the WOA Show has premiered on YouTube. This is important because we’ll determine the winner by awarding the first person to identify the photo in the comments of the Instagram post.

To qualify, the winner must follow “World Of Arizona” on Instagram and like the post. If you already follow World of Arizona, please share the joy by tagging a friend, not-so-friend, or whomever you want.

I’m not gonna lie…donkeys make me happy! They act like giant dogs and honestly deserve more than a reference to one’s arse. The butt of a joke, if you will. I digress.
